WT-205M Cable Tensile Tester

The WT-205M motorized cable tensile tester is designed to measure tensile forces of up to 1 kN. The tester meets numerous UL, ISO, ASTM, SAE, MIL, and other requirements for destructive testing. Non-destructive testing is also possible, such as pulling up to a load or holding a load for a specific period of time in accordance with the requirements of UL 486A/B. Programmable pass/fail limits with red and green indicators and audible warning signals help identify non-compliant specimens. The tester is suitable for most types of insulation and for cable diameters up to 6.3 mm. If the sample breaks, the tester can automatically reverse, output the peak force, save the peak force, and automatically reset the display to zero, thereby increasing test throughput. Further testing efficiency is achieved through the available profile function, which allows multiple test settings to be saved and recalled as needed. The built-in data storage and statistical calculations support up to 2,000 measurement values, with a date and time stamp available for each stored data point. Data can be transferred to a PC or other data collector via USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic), or analog outputs. The WT-205M includes the MESUR® Lite data acquisition software. MESUR® Lite tabulates continuous or single-point data. Exporting to Excel with a single mouse click allows for further data processing.
