What is a manual test stand?

A manual test stand is a test frame for force measurements that is operated by hand via a lever or handwheel.

Which manual test stands does DISA offer?

From Mark-10 the models ES05, ES10 and ES20, ES30, TSB100, TSA750 and TSA750H, TSC1000 and TSC1000H, and TSF and TSFH. More in our test stand or universal testing machine guide.

Which forces and travel are possible?

ES05: compression up to 150 N, travel up to 38 mm. ES10 and ES20: up to 500 N, travel up to 229 mm. ES30: up to 1 kN, travel up to 330 mm. TSB100: up to 500 N. TSA750: up to 3.75 kN. TSC1000: up to 5 kN, travel up to 89 mm. TSF: up to 5 kN, travel up to 102 mm.

Lever or handwheel?

According to the manufacturer, the lever-operated ES10, TSB100 and TSA750 are suitable for fast tests. The ES20 with handwheel is intended for more precise tests with more consistent results. On the TSC1000 and TSF, the large handwheel requires little effort.

What are they used for?

For example for switch contact and spring tests (ES05), tension and compression tests on small samples (ES10, ES20), spring tests, destructive tests and product integrity tests (TSF).

Can travel be measured as well?

Yes. Optional digital travel measurement is available for ES30, TSA750, TSB100, TSC1000 and TSF, so force and travel can be recorded together.

Can DISA calibrate the gauges?

Yes. Our calibration laboratory in Sarnen is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 (SCS 0083) and calibrates force gauges, sensors and test stands. As the European service center of Mark-10, we also handle repairs. More on the calibration page.
