Force sensors from Mark-10 and n-gineric

DISA AG Sarnen supplies force sensors for tension and compression measurements from 0.5 N to 200 kN. The Mark-10 sensors R01 to R05 require a separately available Mark-10 indicator, FS05, FS06 and R07 are designed for the F series universal testing machines. The n-gineric sensors have their own digital interface.

Which force sensor suits your application?

Choose the sensor by direction of force, measuring range, design and connection. Our sales team will be happy to advise you.

What is a force sensor?

A force sensor (also called a load cell or force transducer) measures tension or compression forces and converts them into an electrical signal. The n-gineric sensors use a measuring element based on strain gauges.

Which force sensors does DISA offer?

From Mark-10 the tension and compression sensors R01 (S-beam), R03, R05 (fully enclosed) and R07, the miniature sensor R04, the button sensor R02 for compression, and FS05 and FS06 for the F105, F305, F505 and F505H universal testing machines. From n-gineric the compression force sensor ng-FTS-bi and the ring compression sensor ng-FTS-di. More in our force sensor guide.

Which measuring ranges are available?

FS05: 0.5 N to 2.5 kN. R03 and R04: 1 N to 500 N. R01: 250 N to 50 kN. R02: 500 N to 50 kN. R07: 250 N to 7.5 kN. n-gineric ng-FTS-bi: 100 N to 50 kN. n-gineric ng-FTS-di: 1 kN to 200 kN.

How accurate are the sensors?

For Mark-10, depending on the series, ±0.15% of full scale (R01, R03, R05, R07, FS06), ±0.2% (R04) or ±0.5% (R02). For the FS05, please refer to the data sheet.

What does Plug & Test mean?

With Mark-10 Plug & Test sensors, all configuration and calibration data are stored in the sensor. Sensors and indicators of the Plug & Test family are interchangeable.

Which interfaces do the n-gineric sensors have?

The n-gineric force sensors combine a strain gauge measuring element with an intelligent interface. They communicate via USB, Ethernet or ng-Link.

Can DISA calibrate the force sensors?

Yes. Our calibration laboratory in Sarnen is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 (SCS 0083). We calibrate force with an SCS certificate up to 50 kN and with a factory report up to 200 kN. More on the calibration page.
